This site is to aid in the promotion and development of a permanent off-leash "bark park" in the City of Cottonwood Arizona. The City currently restricts off leash dog activity to the ball field behind the Civic Center in Old Town. The primary users are the Boys & Girls Club and we are allowed to share it with them.
Parks & Recreation Director Faust states that a permanent bark park will be created on the land near the new ball field complex across from Riverfront Park. But that funds are limited and that park supporters will need to contribute to the costs of the new park.
We now have a wonderful opportunity to contribute design suggestions prior to construction. But first we need to demonstrate to the City how many residents value an off-leash park and why we think it is a valuable asset to our community.
